Kim

you asked for some example code that does animation in the way that we
suggested.

Here is a tutorial that I did one in Squeak:

http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~black/ecoop2001/Squeak%20Worksheet%202.html

Look for the heading "Animating the Morph" about 1/3 of the way down. You
may not be able to run this code in a modern Pharo or Squeak, but it will
give you the idea. If you are puzzled by it, lets do an impromptu screen
share conference and I'll try and explain it.

More recently, I've used a version of "joe the box" in my OOP class. I
give the students a graphical box class, and ask them to make two boxes
dance together. The homework is here:

I've also been trying to find some of the results that students turned in
for this assignment, as well as the cannon game assignment, but until I get
some disk space freed up on my laptop, I can't run Smalltalk, so I can't
look at any of this stuff. I'll try at home, with a bigger disk.
