Alternatively, the existing inheritance system was designed to allow
delegation through inheriting from a method returning a suitable delegating
fresh object, which avoids the whole issue. Nobody seems keen on that part,
but it does enable what you want at that point. There can be a whole
library of methods to create the right objects without affecting the public
interfaces to cram it in at all.

It doesn't help with parameterised traits, though.
